All human activities have an impact on the environment. That’s why we actively protect the environment in which we work, and which is the home of our host communities. Water is essential to all mining operations. Clean, healthy water is essential to sustain a vital and healthy ecosystem. That’s why we’re committed to safeguarding water through proper management and responsible use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the start of the construction of the Renard site, we installed a storm water management infrastructure and a temporary water treatment plant.<\/p>\n\n<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

\n RESIDUAL MATERIALS MANAGEMENT<\/strong> <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

We have an exhaustive waste and hazardous materials management program in place. This program is based on three complementary approaches:<\/strong>

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Sorting residual materials at source.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Apply the three Rs (reduce, reuse and recycle) and transform residual materials.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Control quantities of residual materials.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    These measures help us minimize waste and hazardous materials and reduce pollution of the underground water and of the environment.<\/p>\n\n<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
